My name is Jerry Frederick.  I have been a member of the Esko community since 1985.  My wife Julie and I have two sons, Scott, an Esko graduate of 2014, and Kevin, an Esko graduate of 2016.  I've been employed by Minnesota Power since 1984 as an Electronic Technician Senior.  I was first elected to the Esko School Board for one term in 2007, and it's great to be back as a board member and to be able to help the Esko School District to continue to provide an excellent education and opportunities and to help provide what is "best for kids". My family has always been dedicated to giving back to the community in which we live and have been and continue to be involved in many community activities.

Hi.  My name is Leona Johnson and I am honored to serve as a representative of the community on the Esko School Board.  I am retired, living near grandchildren who attend the Esko Schools, and excited to be involved in helping the school district and community meet their goals of providing outstanding education at an affordable cost.  Having worked in Ellsworth, Wisconsin as a K-12 Director of Curriculum and Instruction, an elementary principal, and a high school teacher, I have many years of experience working with students, parents, staff, administrators, community members, and school boards. I have brought in over $4million in federal and state grants to enhance education programs. I also taught Individual and Family Relationships at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and continue to author high school textbooks, including Interpersonal Relationships and Strengthening Family and Self.

My name is Steve McConnell, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our community, students, and faculty. My wife Jessica, a registered nurse and Esko alum, and I have been proud residents of Esko since 2008, raising our three children here and enjoying all this great community has to offer.  My educational background includes graduating from Wrenshall High School, where I attended business classes in Esko, followed by earning multiple degrees and certifications from Lake Superior College: Networking AAS Degree, Micro-Computer Support AAS Degree, Computer Programming AAS Degree, A+ Certification, Cisco Certification, and Cyber Security.
Professionally, I serve as Chief Technology Officer at Northwoods Credit Union. Many of you know me from youth sports—I’ve coached and refereed baseball, soccer, and basketball, and have served on the Esko Baseball Board, Esko Track Booster Club, and Esko Soccer Board. One of my favorite moments as a coach was watching a group of young athletes gain confidence and teamwork skills, culminating in a successful season where everyone grew both as players and individuals. I am deeply committed to fostering a positive environment and ensuring high-quality education through sound judgment and collaboration. My name is Todd Rengo.  My wife Sandy (Olesen) (’87) and I (’88) are both Esko graduates and lifelong Esko residents.  We are the proud parents of 4 children who are also Esko graduates: Matt '14, Olivia '16, Sam '19, and Nate class of '22.  
I work for Thrivent Financial as an investment advisor and planner following 23 years at the Verso Paper Mill in Duluth where I was a Safety Advocate.  Sandy and I also own Nordic Connection, a Scandinavian Gift import business. 
We have a great tradition of excellence at Esko, and I am honored to help continue building upon that foundation by serving on the School Board.

Hello Esko Community.  I am Maggie Sunnarborg and I am currently serving my 4th term as school board representative.  I really enjoy being a member of the board and working for the students, staff , and community to maintain an A+ school district.  

I feel we have accomplished so much over the past several years, such as my dream come true, new bus garage and football stadium parking lot.  I'm excited as we work to fulfill our ten-year plan, and all of the projects
it entails.
