My name is Steve McConnell. I live in Esko with my wife, Jessica, a registered nurse, and our three children. When I met my wife, she convinced me that we needed to live in this great community of Esko. We moved here in 2008 after living in Cloquet for a short time. My wife grew up in Esko and is an Esko alumni. We have been married for 17 years and have 3 children. Our oldest, Kaitlyn is an 8th grader, our middle child, Abigail is a 5th grader, and our youngest, Logan is a 4th grader. I graduated from Wrenshall High School, but while in high school I drove daily between Wrenshall and Esko to take a business class here in the Esko district. After high school, I attended Lake Superior College where I graduated with a Networking AAS Degree, Micro-Computer Support AAS Degree, Computer Programming, A+ Certification, Cisco Certification, and Cyber Security.
I’m currently employed at Northwoods Credit Union as a Vice President of Technology & Security. If you know me, I’ve probably coached your child in some sport. I have volunteered coaching for youth sports such as: baseball, soccer, and basketball. As a coach, I enjoy watching the kids grow and become better players. I try to give them the confidence they need while enjoying the sport at the same time. I have served on the Esko Baseball Board, and past president on the Esko Soccer Board. I am honored to serve and be the voice for the community, students and faculty to ensure the highest quality of education while making good judgement decisions that benefit all. I welcome any feedback or comments from the community and can be reached anytime: [email protected] / call or text 218.390.6947 Thanks again for your support!
