Welcome
to Title One! I hope to make this year a great one for your child and
for you! It is through a combination of school and home that your child
learns best. This year we’ll be working together to make your child’s
educational experience one that will leave a positive and lasting
impression! I’d like to tell you about myself and assure you that this
year will be a wonderful learning experience for your student.
I’ve
was born and raised in the area, attending Hermantown High School. I
enjoy many extracurricular activities such as playing softball and
soccer, running, hiking, camping, and spending time with my family and
friends. My passion outside of school is keeping busy with my husband
and children. I also really enjoy my job and spend a lot of time
planning and preparing fun learning activities for the kids! I am eager
to learn more about each other as the year goes on and all those
wonderful, unique talents, hobbies and interests of your child.
As
for my education and teaching experiences, I have a bachelor’s degree
in elementary education with an emphasis in special education from
UW-Superior and a master’s degree in teaching and learning from St.
Mary’s University. I've spent all of my career teaching here at
Winterquist, and I’ve had some great experiences that will make this
year a success for all. I’m currently teaching Title One, and have previously taught 1st, 5th and 6th grades!
My goal is to motivate and
encourage your child to be the best student they can be and to help them
grow in pursuit of their full potential. We now have something VERY
special in common, your child! Communication between you and me will be
extremely beneficial for your child. Please feel free to contact me at
anytime!
