While every child is unique, children develop in certain, predictable ways, called developmental milestones. Your child’s health care provider and early childhood experts will use screening information to keep tabs on how your child is progressing and determine if he/she is reaching the milestones.

Minnesota's Help Me Grow has many resources about the development of young children for parents and professionals. After Referral
The information contained in this form will be submitted electronically to the local school district where the child lives. After referring a child, the family will be contacted by the local school district where the child lives to arrange for a screening or evaluation to determine if a child is eligible for Infant and Toddler Intervention or Preschool Special Education services in Minnesota.
Eligible children receive free services regardless of:
