Quarter Project Timeline

Each Quarter you will be expected to complete a Project. Some time will be dedicated in class to completing this project, but the majority of the work will be done outside of school. Below are the options for each quarter.

-Video (re-creation), Event / Person (PP) or Slideshow, Invention (re-creation), Native American (PP) (1492 – 1900)
-Video (Greek Myth), Early Civilization (PP), Religion Poster, Structure (recreation) (BC Era)
2nd
-Video (re-creation), Great Depression Interview, Great Depression Program or Slideshow, Jazz Age Artist Presentation (1900-1940)
-Video (re-creation), Roman Obituary, Renaissance, Middle Ages (1 – 1500 AD)
3rd
-Video (re-creation), WWII Person/ Event (PP) or Slideshow (1940-1970)
-Video (re-creation), Structure re-creation, Revolution PP or Slideshow (1500 – 1800)
4th
-Video (re-creation), Conspiracy Theory Debate, Event/Person (PP) or Slideshow (1970 – present)
-Video (re-creation), Debates, Relationship PP or Slideshow (1800 – present)
 
Quarter Project Timeline
Each Wednesday you will be expected to show me that you are working towards completing your project. Below are the expectations for each Wednesday. All of these submissions should be sent to me via e-mail. ( [email protected])
 
1st Wednesday = Have a topic chosen, you don’t get any points for this, but it is expected of you.
 
2nd Wednesday = Everyone involved with your project must have a (different) resource with the web-site address / link on the page. This needs to be e-mailed to me with significant information highlighted and with notes near each highlighted area suggesting where and why it is highlighted. __/__/__
 
3rd Wednesday = Everyone involved with your project must have a (different) resource with the web-site address / link on the page. This needs to be e-mailed to me with significant information highlighted and with notes near each highlighted area suggesting where and why it is highlighted. __/__/__
 
4th Wednesday = A third (different) printed resource with the web-site address / link on the page should be e-mailed to me if you are doing a PP / Slideshow or Recreation. Movie makers should divide the movie into at least the same number of scenes as there are group members. Each person should be responsible for at least one scene. You need to provide evidence that you have begun constructing the scene for which you are responsible. __/__/__
 
5th Wednesday = The beginnings of your PP / Slideshow should be e-mailed in to me. A Picture of your Recreation can also be sent or a PP showing pictures of what you are recreating can be sent. Movie makers should provide via e-mail a typed script for your scene. __/__/__
 
6th Wednesday = ­­A second rendition of your PP / Slideshow / Prezi should be e-mailed to me. A Picture of your Recreation can also be sent or a PP showing pictures of what you are recreating can be sent again, but there should be obvious progress from the previous weeks work. Movie makers need to show a completed script for the scene for which they are responsible. __/__/__
 
7th Wednesday = A nearly completed version of your PP / Slideshow (with notes provided at the bottom of the PP) should be e-mailed to me. A completed PP or another picture should be e-mailed for a Recreation. Movie Makers could bring in an unedited version of the Movie or a completed script should be provided for the whole group with a listing of the division of tasks each person contributed to the Movie. __/__/__
 
9th Monday = Final product is due. __/__/__
 
If we don’t have school on the Wednesday specified, the suggested step toward completion will be do the next day class is in session. Each step, from the 2nd Wednesday thru the 7th Wednesday will be worth 3 points (18 total), you will lose 1 point for each day it is late and IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM ME WHEN COMPLETED. Each day the project is late you will lose 5 points. The actual presentation of your project will be worth 40 points.
